We hear: Celeste and Sydney Corcoran, Boston City Singers, and Teamsters ... - Boston Herald

L That mother-daughter marathon bombing victims Celeste and Sydney Corcoran of Lowell describe the horrible events of April 15 with NBC’s Natalie Morales in interviews scheduled to air this morning on the “Today” show and tonight at 10 p.m. on “Rock Center with Brian Williams.” Celeste, who had both legs amputated below the knee, tells Morales she was in so much pain, “I just wanted to die. … And then I just remember thinking like, I can’t. I can’t. I don’t wanna leave my family, you know. There’s still too much to do.”

L That members of the Boston City Singers, Cambridge Children’s Chorus, All Saints Choir of Men and Boys and the Junior Choristers of St. Paul’s in Cambridge will perform a free family concert at 7 p.m. tomorrow at St. Mark Church in Dorchester to “promote peace through song.” Jane Richard, a young member of Boston City Singers’ Kodaly Singing Class, and her mother, Denise, were seriously injured in the Boston Marathon attack. Jane’s older brother, Martin, was killed by the blast.

L That Teamsters Local 25 will hold a blood drive this Saturday to benefit the American Red Cross and replenish the area’s blood supply in the wake of the marathon attacks. The blood drive will take place at the union hall, 544 Main St., Charlestown, from 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. And Talbots, which just reopened its Boylston Street store after the tragedy, will donate 10 percent of that store’s sales through Sunday to The One Fund Boston.
