THE search for two teenage schoolgirls is continuing, with police believing one of the girls has dyed her hair.
Teagan Lloyd and Skye Keenan, both 13, went to school in Rouse Hill in Sydney's northwest on Wednesday morning but left around lunchtime.
Police tracked them to a home in the Mount Druitt area at about 4am (AEDT) on Friday.
The girls then caught a train from St Marys at about 9am on Friday to Parramatta, police said.
It is now believed that Teagan, who has green eyes and a thin build, has dyed her blonde hair dark brown.
The girls have also changed their clothes.
Teagan is now believed to be wearing a white singlet top and blue and black patterned tights.
She may also be carrying a pink Lonsdale bag.
Skye, who is described as having olive skin, with brown eyes and long brown hair is believed to be wearing a black Adidas long-sleeved jumper and black and white patterned tights.
She may be carrying Leopard print backpack.
It comes after police issued a public plea for help on Saturday, with the girls' parents tearfully begging their children to come home or get in contact.
Teagan's mother Lisa Lloyd said: "We desperately miss you and love you. There is no trouble. We just need to hear from either of you.
"We are looking for you, we just need you to come home."
Skye's mother Gina Keenan said they haven't slept.
"We have been looking everywhere. Everyone is looking for you, everyone misses you. You are not in trouble, we love you."
Police have been monitoring social network sites and have interviewed all the students in Year 7 at the girls' school, as well as their teachers.
But Superintendent Gary Merryweather said their efforts had been hampered, as the girls' friends were talking among themselves.
Police and the teens' parents continue to appeal for anyone with information about the girls, or their whereabouts, to contact Crime Stoppers or local police.
