A teenage girl is in hospital with serious neck injuries after riding a motorbike into a barbed wire fence in Sydney's northwest.
The 15-year-old, who was visiting from Melbourne, accidentally accelerated into the fence at Box Hill while riding with friends on Thursday afternoon, CareFlight said in a statement.
Paramedics arrived about 4.30pm (AEST) and called in trauma specialists, who arrived by helicopter about 15 minutes later.
The girl was flown to Westmead Children's Hospital and is in a serious but stable condition.
