Backpack with human ashes stolen in Sydney - Yahoo!7 News

A backpack containing human ashes has been stolen from Sydney's Central Railway Station.

A 21-year-old woman placed an overnight bag on the ground outside the baggage checking office near platform one and went into the office last Wednesday at 6.30pm.

The bag contained several personal items, including a container with the ashes of a deceased relative.

When she returned to collect the bag it had gone and, despite searching the immediate area, she was unable to find it.

Police would like to speak with a man and a woman, shown in a CCTV image taken at the time.

The woman is described as being of Caucasian appearance and is shown wearing a black jacket with brown fur around the collar, and black tights with holes or a white pattern.

She was accompanied by a man described as wearing a white jumper and black or grey track pants.
