Maurice Terzini eyes Bondi site for 'woggy' outlet - The Australian

MAURICE Terzini, the Sydney-based restaurateur behind Bondi's Icebergs Dining Room, is close to signing a deal on premises in Bondi for a second venture that will be Neapolitan "and far more woggy".

We've agreed on terms and conditions but we haven't signed a lease yet," he says. Terzini's former business partner Rob Marchetti is, of course, still plying his trade in the seaside suburb, both at North Bondi Italian and La Macelleria. After short season - about six months - with Sydney chef and caterer John Wilson directing food at Icebergs, Terzini has taken on Neapolitan chef Orazio D'Elia, ex Popolo Rushcutters Bay, to bolster ranks at the top of the Icebergs food chain with head chef Ben Horne and add some fat in anticipation of the new "pizza and porchetta joint". Stay tuned.
