Investigations continue, four injured in collision - Sydney Harbour Bridge - NSW Police Online (press release)

Police are continuing investigations into a head-on collision on the Sydney Harbour Bridge that resulted in four people being taken to hospital yesterday.


About 5:45pm, Sunday 25 November 2012, a Toyota Corolla and a Ford Falcon were involved in a head-on collision in the southbound lanes of the Sydney Harbour Bridge.


Police from The Rocks Local Area Command and the Rescue Squad attended the scene and worked on releasing a 24-year-old woman who was trapped in the Toyota.


She was taken by NSW Ambulance Paramedics to Royal North Shore Hospital for treatment of a suspected fractured pelvis. A 22-year-old man, who was a passenger in the Toyota, was taken to St Vincent’s Hospital for treatment of minor injuries.


A 19-year-old man and 16-year-old girl, who were travelling in the Ford, were also taken to St Vincent’s Hospital suffering from shock and whiplash.


Both drivers have undergone blood and urine tests in hospital and investigations into the circumstances surrounding the collision are continuing.
