POLICE are exploring links to the notorious Sydney gang Brothers 4 Life after a man was shot at a home in Sydney's west.
The 27-year-old man has gunshot wounds to his arms and legs after shots were fired at a home on Salisbury Road, Guildford, about 4.10am (AEDT) on Thursday.
The man was inside the home when the shots were fired.
Police say detectives are looking at possible connections to Brothers 4 Life.
The man is in hospital and investigations are continuing.
The criminal group has been relatively quiet since a huge police crackdown led to several gang members being put behind bars earlier this month.
Ten alleged gang members were charged over western Sydney shootings that have killed or injured other gang members on November 7.
Mohammed Hamzy, believed to be the de facto gang leader, was the biggest catch after he was charged with murdering fellow gang member Yehyah Amood on October 14, 2012, at Greenacre.
Police zeroed in on the group after an innocent 13-year-old girl was hit in the back when she was caught in the crossfire of gang violence.
