Daniel Fitzhenry has been making routine checks off the North Head of Sydney for over 20 years.
However, the hydrographer has never encountered a Great White shark – until now.
During a routine Sydney Water inspection with a robotic underwater camera the great white was spotted lurking three kilometers off the coast near the North Head deep ocean outfall.
“The biodiversity is getting greater all the time,” he said. “There is more and more species coming every year.”
His robotic camera also captured some Wobbygoggs and other marine life resting on top of the outfall.
