Four arrested after latest Sydney shooting - NEWS.com.au




A FOURTH man is in police custody after two men were injured in another shooting in Sydney's southwest.



Two men arrived at Bankstown Hospital with gunshot wounds shortly after West Terrace residents reported hearing gunshots soon after midnight on Thursday.


Police say their injuries are not believed to be life threatening, .


Three men were arrested in Parramatta by Middle Eastern Organised Crime Squad officers shortly after 1am.


A fourth man was arrested in Pendle Hill at 4.30am.


A crime scene has been established in the hospital car park, where the injured men's car was found with several bullet holes.


A crime scene has also been established in West Terrace, where items have been seized for forensic examination.


Detectives are waiting to speak with the injured men.


The development comes after a 13-year-old girl was hit in the back following a shooting attack on a home in Blacktown on Monday night.


Police are also investigating a separate shooting at a house at Bringelly, in Sydney's southwest.


Officers were called to Mandina Place about 1am after residents reported hearing gunshots.


A number of shots struck the front of the single-level brick house, which was empty at the time.


News Corp Australia reports the latest shootings have brought forward investigations into the recent string of Sydney shootings, with senior members of the Brothers 4 Life Gang, which has been linked to the attacks, arrested overnight.


The arrests reportedly include Mohammed Hamzy, the Sydney Leader of the gang.
