It’s been a rough few weeks for Australian festivals, with Harvest being cancelled , Future Entertainment experiencing troubles and the probable end of Summadayze , and now Big Day Out has announced that their second Sydney date on Monday January 27 “will be merged into one show on Sunday January 26, Australia Day.”
In a press release sent out this morning, Big Day Out promoter Ken West said, “Perhaps we were a bit ambitious expanding to two dates in Sydney for this year’s Big Day Out…” Tickets for the Monday January 27 festival will be valid for the Sunday 26 show, with no need to exchange tickets; punters who can’t attend on Sunday 26 can get a refund until October 30.

Alternatively, you can exchange your Monday January 27 ticket for a Big Day Out in any other Australian city.
Tickets for the Sydney Big Day Out on Sunday January 26 – featuring Major Lazer, Flume, Steve Angello, Snoop Dogg and Flosstradamus, as well as Blur, Pearl Jam and Arcade Fire – remain on sale through the Big Day Out website and Ticketmaster until sold out.
