Two men had gunshot wounds when their bodies were discovered in northern Sydney on Anzac Day in what is believed to be a murder-suicide, police say.
The two men, aged in their 30s, were found dead with gunshot wounds at a home in Westleigh following a suspected domestic dispute.
"While the investigation is still in its early stages, there is no evidence at this time that anyone else was involved," police said in a statement.
Neighbours reported hearing shots being fired in the area, while one neighbour, who asked not to be named, said she heard loud bangs during the incident.
"It sounded like firecrackers going off three times," she told Fairfax Media.
The gruesome discovery is the latest among five suspicious deaths to have taken place in Sydney this week.
On Wednesday, the bodies of a 46-year-old woman and her daughter, 26, believed to be Chinese nationals, were found in their western Sydney home.
Police named Hong Rui Fu, 28, as the person they want to question over the deaths and have launched a murder investigation.
Finance worker Kate Malonyay, 32, was found dead in her Mosman unit by police on Monday.
Police were were hunting for her ex-boyfriend Elliott Coulson, who was considered a suspect, but he fell 26 floors from a balcony at the Marriott Surfers Paradise Resort on the Gold Coast on Wednesday as Queensland and NSW police were trying to enter his room.
His death is not being treated as suspicious.
