Friday was a violent day on Sydney’s streets as police search for perpetrators behind three armed attacks across the city.
At about 4pm police were called following a brazen daylight robbery at an inner-city beauty salon.
A masked man burst into the Brow Bar salon on Queens Street in Woolahra, and told staff he had a knife before he left with an unknown sum of money.
At about 7pm, a 30-year-old man returned to his home in Stanhope gardens, in Sydney’s northwest, to find two men had forced their way in. He was assaulted with a knife before the offenders fled. The injuries are not believed to be life threatening.
Finally at 8pm a man in his twenties was attacked on a suburban street in Milperra, in Sydney’s south-west. He was punched in the throat and stabbed, before escaping to a nearby service station where he called police.
