A thick band of fog is again causing major pains at Sydney Airport and on the public transport system.
Flights in and out of Sydney Airport are being disrupted, with long delays and diversions in place.
Sydney Airport spokeswoman Tracy Ong says travellers should check their flights.
"This morning we've got international services diverting to Brisbane and Melbourne," she said.
"We're experiencing a four hour delay on domestic so we're strongly advising passengers to check with their airlines of the latest scheduling updates."
Ferry commuters are being urged make alternative arrangements with almost all services cancelled apart from Manly to Circular Quay.
Transport Management Centre spokeswoman Nicki Sinclair says commuters should allow for extra travel time.
"At this stage there is no forecast as to when services will resume," she said.
"It's just a matter of when the fog lifts, so in the meantime passengers who would usually catch the ferries they can use their tickets or Opal cards on trains or STA bus services instead."
The weather bureau is warning that visibility is very low, but should clear by 8:30am AEST.
"Yesterday fog started clearing at Sydney airport soon after 9:30am but today the situation is a bit different," forecaster Dimitri Danchuk said.
"We have fresh to strong winds slightly above the ground, so that could effectively push the fog to clear a little bit earlier."
Fog also caused major disruptions yesterday to ferry services on the Parramatta River and Sydney Harbour.
Seventeen flights were diverted at Sydney Airport and it took the rest of the day for the backlog to clear.
