Police have ruled out bikie links to a shooting in Sydney's west in which four men were wounded.

Emergency services were called to a home on the Horsley Drive in Smithfield just after 8pm last night following reports of a shooting.

Police say four men were taken to hospital with gunshot wounds and it's understood two of them have significant injuries.

About 15 bullet holes were reportedly found in a garage door.

A police spokeswoman says there's nothing to suggest the shooting is bikie-related.
