Phil Mitchell writes: If ever there's a “confidence team” in the NRL, it's the Warriors. And that is why unbeaten Souths should be extremely wary of them after the Warriors broke an 11-game losing streak last Monday, coming from 12-0 behind to defeat North Queensland 20-18 in Auckland. With the monkey finally off their backs and intimidating winger Manu Vatuvei set to return from injury, the Warriors are certainly capable of producing the free-wheeling attack that led to a 44-22 thrashing of Souths on their last visit to Auckland in 2012.

The Rabbitohs are in the midst of their best start to a season since 1971, when they last won a premiership. Coach Michael Maguire has such a wealth of talent at his disposal he was able to leave co-captain Michael Crocker out of his squad that outmuscled Canterbury 17-12 last Friday. Crocker, named on an extended bench, is expected to return this weekend.
