Aerosmith has cancelled their one and only concert in Sydney, announcing in a statement they will now perform at the Stone Music Festival instead.
However fans who have already shelled out to see the band get a bonus - their tickets will get them in to the festival's Saturday line-up which includes Noiseworks, the Living End, Jimmy Barnes and co-headliners Van Halen.
"Stone Festival will be Aerosmith's only Sydney performance and Van Halen's only Australian performance. Both bands will perform full, greatest hits sets.
"This will mean the original Aerosmith concert date on Sunday 28 April, 2013 will no longer take place with all ticket holders receiving equivalent ticket allocation for the Stone Music Festival on Saturday 20 April, 2013".
The inaugural Stone Music Festival will be held in Sydney on April 20 and 21.
As well as Aerosmith and Van Halen the Saturday lineup includes Buckcherry, supergroup Kings of Chaos, The Superjesus, Richie Ramone, Ian Moss and the Choirboys on the Saturday.
Billy Joel will headline Sunday April 21 with Icehouse, Lifehouse, Diesel, Mark Seymour, Guy Sebastian and Shannon Noll among others.
