Goat causes Sydney highway standstill - The Australian

A GOAT has shut down a major highway in Sydney.

Traffic along Bangor Bypass in Sutherland stopped just before 11.30am (AEST) on Tuesday as the RSPCA tried to tranquilise the stray goat.

It's the second time in a week a goat has evaded animal rescuers.

On Thursday, an elderly female goat known as Wategoat scrambled away from rescuers making a risky bid to reach her, when she was trapped at the bottom of a cliff at Byron Bay in northern NSW.
