How the Herald reported Belinda's disappearance earlier this year.
While Moses Obeid and others close to Sydney businesswoman Belinda Burcham searched for her, she was breaking into houses close to her Double Bay home and stealing alcohol, court documents allege.
The mother of two left St Vincent's Hospital early on December 30 last year without medical clearance.
Burcham, 40, had no shoes, phone or money and still had a canula in her arm when CCTV cameras recorded her exit.
Her disappearance sparked a police search, and distraught family and friends launched a massive social media campaign.
Her mother and stepfather walked Sydney's eastern suburbs with sandwich boards depicting Burcham's photo, hoping to find her.
She had formerly been a successful businesswoman who had careers in pharmaceutical sales and marketing.
Burcham's boyfriend and her long-time friend and employer, Sydney identity Moses Obeid, are believed to have sought the help of a psychic in the search.
The psychic told the men Burcham was on someone's lounge, in the city's east, and in a bad way.
Police located her five days later in nearby Paddington where all of the alleged crimes took place.
Burcham broke into three homes in Roylston St, in a secluded area adjacent to Trumper Park, court documents allege.
She stole two bottles of Grange Hermitage wine valued at $1600 and a packet of cigarettes, it's alleged.
Burcham also stole six bottles of cooking wine from another home, and at a third premises, she stole two bottles of brandy worth $100 each and a decanter, according to the court documents.
Police have also accused her of stealing a woman's thongs and an ashtray.
She has been charged with a total of six offences that police allege took place between December 31 and January 5 - the period she went missing.
Court documents indicate Burcham will be required to enter a plea to the charges when her matter comes before Waverley Local Court on Monday.
