THE search for a Sydney grandmother on the run and her four-year-old granddaughter has widened to Queensland.

The Family Court of Australia has issued a nationwide alert over the disappearance of Annaleise Grace Harris-Edwards, who has not been seen since October 8.

On that day the Family Court of Australia had ordered that Annaleise live with her father but when he went to her preschool to collect her, she was not there. Annaleise has not been seen since but the court believes she is with her maternal grandmother, Bronwyn Edwards of Castle Hill in Sydney's northwest.

Mrs Edwards drives a red/pink Hyundai Excel, which was captured on safety cameras in the Port Macquarie and Coffs Harbour areas on the NSW central coast last month.

However, authorities believe the pair could have travelled to Queensland.

The Edwards family are originally from Queensland and have family members still living here.

Mrs Edwards is described as being in her mid 50s, Caucasian and of average build with dark brown hair.

Her granddaughter, Annaleise, is described as Caucasian and petite with shoulder-length light brown hair, blue eyes and a gap between her front upper teeth.

Anyone with any information about the whereabouts of Bronwyn Edwards or Annaleise should contact Crimes Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
