A man is dead and another is in hospital after what police believe was a targeted drive by shooting in Sydney's southeast.
The two men were fired upon by the occupants of a black sedan as they stood in the car park of a unit block in George St, Eastlakes about 10pm on Monday.
A 37-year-old man died from his wounds and a 25-year-old who was shot in the leg is in a stable condition in hospital.
A crime scene has been established and police investigations continue.
A neighbour told the Seven Network she heard seven gunshots while watching television.
"Then we saw a car speed off and shortly after all the police arrived and ambulance," she said.
"Then we did see one body covered up on the floor."
