Fire crews fight blaze in student apartment block in inner Sydney - ABC Local

Firefighters are at the scene of a blaze in a student apartment block in inner Sydney.

The fire service says the residence on Broadway, near the University of Sydney, was evacuated just before 5:00am, with up to 300 people leaving the building.

It is believed a spark in a switchbox on the building's second floor started the fire.

Seven fire trucks responded and crews are working to contain the blaze.
