Cannabis worth almost $1m seized in Sydney - Yahoo!7 News


Police have seized cannabis plants with a street value of almost $1 million and arrested two Sydney men.


At 6.45pm (AEST) on Thursday, police stopped a white Toyota Camry sedan outside a home on Tummul Place at St Andrews.


Two men were arrested after a search of the car.


At 8am on Friday, police raided the house and found cannabis plants, allegedly hydroponically cultivated, with an estimated potential street value of $937,000.


A 28-year-old man was charged with leaving drug premises, and was granted conditional bail to appear at Campbelltown Local Court on July 15.


A 36-year-old man was charged with cultivating a commercial quantity of a prohibited plant.


He has been refused bail and will appear before Campbelltown Local Court on August 14.
