MELISSA Matheson has been appointed editor of mX Sydney, taking over from Craig Herbert who was recently promoted to the role of senior editor mX.
Matheson was chosen following a successful career as a news reporter and columnist with the Daily Telegraph where she developed a reputation as a smart and funny writer and news journalist.
News Limited group editorial director Campbell Reid described her as a "dynamic and talented journalist" who joined News as a cadet on the Penrith Press in 2006.
"Her energy, experience and demonstrated understanding of what makes Sydney tick makes her an ideal candidate for this important role," he said.
