Police are investigating the suspicious deaths of two men in separate incidents across Sydney's west.
Detectives have set up a crime scene on an oval on Vine Street in Fairfield after the body of a man was discovered with suspected stab wounds just after 4am.
Just over an hour later in St Marys, employees turning up to work at a recycling plant in an industrial estate discovered the body of a man, also with suspected stab wounds.
Detectives say the deaths of both men are suspicious, but there is no suggestion they are linked.
In Fairfield, officers found the body of the man, thought to be aged in his 20s, lying on the oval on Vine Street about 4.15am.
Paramedics were called to the park, however the man had already died.
Police said the man had suffered a number of injuries.
The man, who is yet to be identified, is believed to have suffered a number of stab wounds.
Police have taped off the park and have set up a blue canopy on the oval, which is next to a baseball field, and are searching the area for a weapon.
A post-mortem examination will be conducted to determine how he died.
Just after 5.30am, police were called to the Dunheved industrial estate in St Marys where they found the body of a man lying in the yard of a recycling plant.
Employees arriving for work are believed to have found the man's body and called police. The man is believed to have suffered stab wounds.
"A crime scene has been established and police from St Marys Local Area Command are attempting to gather more information about the death," a police spokesman said.
A post mortem will be required to formally establish how the man died. He is yet to be identified.
Roads in the industrial estate have been closed and diversions are in place.
