    TIM PALMER: The Health Services Union says the shooting at a Western Sydney hospital overnight shows that hospital security staff need more training and greater powers.A police officer and security guard were shot at Nepean Hospital by a 39-year-old man who was out on police bail.The union says doctors, nurses and patients aren't properly protected as medical security staff don't have the powers to restrain or detain people who threaten or assault hospital staff.Lucy Carter rep..
