A MAN has been stabbed in the abdomen during a fight at a home in Sydney's inner west.
The 42-year-old answered the door to his Auburn home on Saturday evening and spoke with a man briefly before a scuffle broke out.
"The visitor allegedly produced a knife and stabbed the man in the abdomen and then left," police said.
Paramedics took the injured man to Westmead Hospital where he remains in a stable condition.
A crime scene has been established and investigations continue.
