A PERSON has been found dead following a house fire in the Sydney suburb of Botany.
Other properties on Botany Rd were evacuated while firefighters fought the blaze after the alarm was raised just before 2am on Friday.
Firefighters found an unidentified body during a search of the premises.
A crime scene has been established and will be examined by specialist forensic officers and fire investigators.
The cause of the fire yet to be determined.
Police will prepare a report for the information of the coroner.
