Cooler weather conditions are allowing firefighters to tackle the remaining bushfires that swept across the state on Saturday.
Bushfire-affected Barrenjoey is forecast to hit a sunny 21 degrees - down from 31 degrees yesterday - allowing firefighters to contain the blaze which has already burnt 17 hectares of bushland in the area.
"Today and tomorrow, the weather is definitely on our side," Rural Fire Service spokesman Brendan Doyle told AAP earlier today. "We'll be using it to deepen containment lines."

Mr Doyle says around 30 firefighters will be deployed in the Pittwater area over the next few days to control the remainder of the fires and attend to hotspots.
No one was injured in the Barrenjoey blaze, which raged across the headland known as the "Summer Bay" location of TV soap Home and Away.
Eighty firefighters and three helicopters worked to contain the fire, and to save the 1800s heritage-listed lighthouse in the area.

NSW Rural Fire Service spokesman Anthony Clark said the building was mostly fine although the fire did get into the roof of a part of the complex.
Meanwhile, fires in Yarrowitch, south-east of Walcha, are also expected to ease later today, with heavy machinery including bulldozers used to strengthen containment lines.
Over 300 hectares of bushland and scrub in the region was burnt in the fire on Saturday, but the RFS says there is no immediate threat to properties.
Fire-affected areas five kilometres north-west of Bulahdelah, on the NSW south coast, are also expected to ease later today and tomorrow.
The RFS says it is important residents in bushfire affected areas remain cautious and follow their Bush Fire Survival Plan.
