Boil water advisory lifted in Sydney area - CTV News

People in the Sydney area can stop boiling their water after results from the second of two lab tests for bacteria have come up clear.

The CBRM Water Utility issued the advisory for the Sydney water system on Tuesday after one of the 21 test samples taken at the beginning of each week showed the presence of some sort of bacteria.

Samples taken Wednesday and Thursday showed no presence of bacteria.

The advisory affected roughly 27,000 customers in the Sydney area and was among the most widespread the area has seen in years.
