Sydney Leathers, a 23-year-old woman who says she exchanged lewd text messages with New York City mayoral candidate Anthony Weiner, told Inside Edition's Jim Moret that she wants to apologize to Huma Abedin, Weiner's wife.


"I just feel very, very sorry for my part and the pain that she obviously feels," the self-described "political junkie" said, through tears.


Abedin offered her support for Weiner Tuesday, admitting their relationship has had "its ups and its downs" but concluding, "I love him, I have forgiven him, I believe in him and, as we have said since the beginning, we are moving forward."


Leathers also said that Weiner had told her he loved her, and that she thought Weiner was jealous when other men posted comments on her Facebook photos.


Weiner stated Tuesday that only some allegations against him are true, but would not elaborate.


On Thursday, he admitting to engaging online with six to 10 women, including three after resigning from Congress.


In light of recent revelations, Weiner's polling numbers have plummeted.
