Sydney dad still on the run - Yahoo!7 News

A man who is alleged to have abducted his baby son and ex-girlfriend at knife point is still on the run.

Steven Hume has been missing since Thursday when he allegedly forced his way into his 16-year-old ex-girlfriend's house and took her and their eight-month-old son.

It was believed that he wanted to hand himself into police however wanted to talk to a lawyer first.

Hume reportedly said last night that he didn't abduct his son and ex-girlfriend, and that they came willingly.

It comes after his ex-girlfriend told 7News on Saturday that Hume broke into her southwest Sydney home, took out a knife and told her to get in the car with her eight-month old son.

"He told me he was going to kill me ... and my son," she claimed.

Hume's car was found abandoned on Avon Dam Road at Bargo, south of Sydney, on Friday morning after it slammed into a tree.

She said she thought her child was dead until a family member handed him to Campbelltown police station on Friday afternoon.

The baby is now in the care of the Department of Community Services.
