A Sydney has been charged after allegedly being caught drink driving with his 16-month-old son in the car.
Police say the 25-year-old man stopped last night for a roadside breath test in Sutherland, in Sydney's south, and returned a positive result.
Inspector Rodney Ray says the toddler was asleep in the backseat of the car.
"The male was seen to walk to the vehicle - if you [could] call it [walking]," he said.
"He was more staggering, unsteady on his feet ... with two bottles of wine in his hands.
"He got into the vehicle and immediately turned the engine on and started to turn out. That's when they saw the baby on the back seat and they said stop everything."
The man has been charged with mid-range drink driving and his license has been suspended.
He is expected to face court later this month.
