New South Wales Police are appealing for witnesses to a drive-by shooting in Sydney's west last night.

A number of shots were fired from a car into a house and vehicle parked on Tangerine Street in Fairfield. No-one was injured.

Police spokeswoman Senior Constable Lauren Marr says officers have established a crime scene and searched the area.

"They conducted a canvass of the area and a number of people were spoken to," she said.

"It's believed the shots were fired from a black Mazda CX-7."

The incident follows another shooting on Friday night when a man was shot in the leg by gate-crashers at a party in Sydney's south-west.

Police are continuing the search for those responsible.
