Fog has caused the suspension of ferry services on the Parramatta River but all others are still operating.
Roads and train networks are also fine, a Transport NSW spokesman told AAP on Tuesday.
Ferry tickets will be accepted on buses and trains between Parramatta and Sydney but the Transport Management Centre is warning people to expect delays.
It's not known when services will resume.
Meanwhile, a man has died, three people are in hospital and two have escaped injury after three cars collided in heavy fog on the Great Western Highway at Prospect, in Sydney's west.
Some flights into Sydney airport have been delayed or diverted due to the fog.
"Passengers are advised to check with their airline for the latest updates on individual flights," the Sydney airport duty manager said in a statement.
