HEAVY fog that blanketed Sydney overnight and early this morning has lifted but commuters can still expect to experience delays.
Early morning accidents on the M4 near Ettalong Rd and James Ruse Dr closed one of three southbound lanes and will some delays can be expected.
A three-car accident on Homebush Bay Dr at Oulton Ave in Concord west about 7am has also closed one of three southbound lanes.
Domestic and international flights have reopened but departures are likely to continue to be delayed as earlier scheduled flights take off.
"Things are getting back to normal but passengers are still advised to check with their airlines about flights," the Airport's Duty Manager said.
Fog also covered other parts of the city including the Gladesville and Sydney Harbour bridges.
Ferry services along the Parramatta River reopened about 7am and harbour services continue as scheduled.
