Dog owner to front Sydney court - Yahoo!7 News

A man will face court following a dog attack in southwest Sydney that left a man in hospital with serious injuries.

Three American Staffordshire terriers savaged a 49-year-old man as he was jogging in Ashcroft about 2pm (AEST) last Sunday week, deeply lacerating his arms and chest.

A 54-year-old man who tried to help the victim was also taken to hospital with a wound to his hand.

Liverpool Council had the dogs put down the next day.

On Monday, police issued a 42-year-old Ashcroft man with a court attendance notice over two other attack dogs he owns.

The man was ordered to appear before Liverpool Local Court on July 17.
