A man is fighting for life after a hit and run in Sydney's west tonight.
Police say the 37-year-old was crossing a road in Westmead when he was struck by a driver in a silver sedan which drove off.
The victim suffered severe head and leg injuries and he is now in an induced coma at Westmead Hospital.
