IT'S the morning of the city's first game of the football season and for some like me, it's better than Christmas. Footy - the gift that keeps on giving.
For as long as I can remember this wonderful game - full of excitement, happiness, disappointment, laughter, social interaction and passion - has transformed the long, Melbourne winters into not only something bearable, but something to desire.
