A second teenager has been charged over a violent home invasion in which a man was attacked with an axe in Sydney's west last year.
Police say three males forced their way into the Auburn home in September and threatened a 26-year-old man and 25-year-old woman inside, demanding money.
They allegedly attacked the man with an axe.
He spent two months in hospital and had to have a large chunk of his skull and forehead removed.
Police on Wednesday arrested a 17-year-old boy over the incident, following the arrest of an 18-year-old earlier this year.
He is expected to face Parramatta Children's Court next month.
