WILD Oats XI capitalised on freshening northerly winds to extend her lead over rival super maxi Ragamuffin Loyal and reach race-record pace in the Sydney to Hobart this morning.
The wind dropped to three knots around 1am (AEDT), but was blowing at 15 knots from the north several hours later.
