A man has been shot up to five times in the car park of a western Sydney pub, police say.


Police said they were called to the Berala Hotel on Woodburn Road at 12.30pm following reports a man had been shot.


Paramedics are treating the man and officers have set up a crime scene.


Witnesses have told emergency crews that the man was shot up to five times in the leg, stomach and arm.
