Echo Entertainment warns NSW on casino policy change - The Australian

ECHO Entertainment has warned the NSW government against changing its one-casino policy, revealing it is working on a 25-year plan to make its flagship Sydney property the centrepiece of a new integrated resort precinct that would be dramatically undermined by any move to issue a second gaming licence.

The company's chief financial officer, Matt Bekier, said Echo had engaged PwC to do economic modelling on a long-term strategic plan for the Star as the centrepiece of an "integrated resort facility" spread across the Sydney suburb of Pyrmont and wanted to work more closely with the NSW government on the plan.
