Road ahead is a vision splendid - The Australian

FINALLY, Sydney has a transport vision as bold, brash and broad as the city itself.

Most observers agree the statewide plan delivered to NSW Premier Barry O'Farrell by the inaugural chairman of Infrastructure NSW, former Liberal premier Nick Greiner, earlier this month contains the most comprehensive picture drawn of what ails Sydney, and how to fix it. But the delivery of the 20-year state infrastructure strategy is just the first step along a road that is bound to be strewn with obstacles. How the government and the people of Sydney navigate that will largely decide whether the city thrives or asphyxiates in coming decades.
